The apartment is in a brand new gated complex a short walk to Pyla village and approximately 2km from the award winning Pyla beach, which has beautiful sand and clear water. Alternatively there is the McKenzie beach in Larnaca, which is about 10 minutes by car. There are also several small beaches around which are accessible by car.
The old village of Pyla still retains a traditional friendly Cypriot atmosphere. This is the only part of Cyprus where Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots live together in harmony in the same village. There are various shops and numerous restaurants and bars selling authentic Greek, Turkish and international food along with live music and dancing.
Families are fully catered for, with watersports, diving, horse riding, bowling, a camel park and a waterpark (approx. 30km) among many other things to do, being a short drive away.
Pyla is ideally situated near the motorway network for exploring the whole island.
It is approx. 13 kms to Larnaca International airport. Transfers can be arranged or directions will be available on request.
The nearby town of Larnaca provides excellent shopping with both high street stores with the likes of Marks & Spencer, Next, Zara, Debenhams etc and smaller traditional Cypriot shops. There are many archaeological sites, museums and art galleries in the town. Situated in a strategic position, the modern city of Larnaca is situated in the south East of the island, a pleasant town with a harbour, both for freight and passenger traffic. It benefits visitors for having Larnaca International Airport and it's close proximity to the remaining Cities in Cyprus, make it an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island. The Capital of Nicosia is only a 30 minute drive away and reaching Limassol takes just 40 minutes.
One of Larnaca's most distinctive features is the mid town seaside promenade, known as Finikoudis Beach (means many Palms) lined with tall palm trees and sandy beaches bordered by tavernas, bars and restaurants to suit all ages, tastes and budgets. The Cyprus 'meze' is the food specialty of the town. Night life is cosmopolitan and safety in the streets unsurpassed.
Every summer Larnaca hosts a festival of music. Outdoor concerts take place in the courtyard of the medieval fort. Larnaca is a town with an easy-going pace with strong links to the past.
